Shelves of reference books in a quiet library

Evidence-Based Resources

A hand-checked library. Search it, filter by topic, and bookmark anything you want to come back to. Every link goes to a professional body, public health agency, systematic review or registered nonprofit.

UltraMama earns nothing from these links. They open on the publisher's own site so you can see the date, the authors and the references for yourself.

How to judge any source you find

  • Who published it? Prefer professional bodies, public health agencies and universities over blogs and brands.
  • Is it dated and reviewed? Guidance older than about five years may have been superseded.
  • Does it cite primary research, or only link to products?
  • Is anything being sold? Sponsored, affiliate or referral links change what gets recommended.
  • Does it match your own clinician's advice? Your care team knows your history — they win any tie.

This page is general information, not medical advice. If something here conflicts with what your midwife, OB-GYN or physician has told you about your pregnancy, follow your care team. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
